Melinda Malecki, JD, MS
Melinda is a Health Law attorney with over 30 years of corporate, regulatory, and risk management experience. As a founding member of Malecki Brooks Ford Law Group, LLC, she provides legal counsel, corporate compliance, and risk management services to physicians and other healthcare practitioners and executives.
Ms. Malecki has extensive experience in the area of physician representation, particularly contract negotiation, sales and purchases of practices, and corporate disputes. Her work as a hospital attorney benefits her physician clients in dealing with such matters as medical staff issues and contractual negotiations.
In the course of providing legal assistance to her clients, Ms. Malecki frequently becomes involved in employment disputes wherein practitioners are suspended or terminated from their employment for alleged compliance violations such as using the wrong “tone” in the workplace. She has written multiple newsletters on this subject and sees it as a legal and business minefield for her clients because not only are legal issues involved but a practical business strategy is needed. Thus, the creation of “Coaching Through Crisis” to help her clients get through what becomes a career crisis.
